You won't be the only person with a machine that requires repairs /
upgrades so won't be first in the queue. Depending on how busy they
are, they may not even get to look at it for a couple of days. That can
be one of the advantages of going to a smaller local authorised repair
centre rather than the rarer and over-crowded Apple Store.

Plus, as you said, there are glues, etc. used these days which will
mean it take longer to get into computer and need time to properly dry
once reassembled.
