Are we looking at the same Eternal September? The spam that reaches here from Google Groups is constantly using different accounts and IP addresses. Each day there is new material in the Injection-Info headers. I've given up; I'm blocking all Google Groups by default, with a whitelist of legit users who regrettably post from there. > It can be annoying when new ones show up, but so far it's manageable. > > (I currently have 300+ entries in my Gnus score file for this newgroup, > but it's been growing for a long time.) I restarted mine from scratch; it had obsolete entries from as far back as 2008. The new one just does the above Google Groups block, plus whitelist. I don't think anything will be needed in it in the foreseeable future other than very slow growth of the whitelist. I sent a patch upstream to make it easier in SLRN to block on the Google Groups specific headers, but looks like I won't really be taking advantage of it any more. -- TXR Programming Language: http://nongnu.org/txr Cygnal: Cygwin Native Application Library: http://kylheku.com/cygnal Mastodon: @Kazinator@mstdn.ca NOTE: If you use Google Groups, I don't see you, unless you're whitelisted.
