Hi, Today I had the idea to buy the USA dip, like buying a little NASDAQ stocks or something. But then I read about the closing of the department of education, which was distributing 30 billion PELL GRANTS, which is around 150 USD wealth redistribution per capita. So I think USA is fucked, and it will only get worse and worse. Mostlikely the timeing is bad taking other seasonal effects into account, and 2025 will not recover. Thats my hypothesis, since month May is too near already. Bye P.S.: So stocks showed a small recovery, but this is most likely a dead cat bounce: https://www.investopedia.com/terms/d/deadcatbounce.asp Mild Shock schrieb: > Hi, > > I don't believe stocks in the USA will > recover. On the other hand, if stocks keep losing value, at some point people will sell them and buy crypto with the money. I don't think crypto will ever keep going down in value. It either stays more or less the same, or it grows. In bad times, crypto is the answer.

As I've repeatedly explained here, "students" must be paid good money to just study. The money should come either from businesses or the government. It must be an _employment. Also the degree system is too old. It is idiotic. Full of defects and features that make no sense. Business or government "students" would study and go through their curricula while getting paid like a good job, and eventually (if they manage it) get fine-tuned clearly understandable certificates showing what that employee can do.

Scholarships are there. University is there for social snob reasons and if you pass, a stamp for getting more stamps. Then you can make money. The Indian Navy paid the fees for the students they selected. Pioneers, what.

What I say a "student" must get is _employment_ payments backed by employment laws. Studying is a serious EMPLOYMENT. It is crazy that crooks expect students not only not get paid, but pay for their studies as well!.. That's another pure Jewish scheme which is still being practiced. You first get _employed_, and only then study the material that your employer (businesses and/or government) provides. There's no other way around this that does not amount to fraudulent money schemes.

You never got any employment, Roachie. So you don't know how much any employee has to study to keep his job if it is worth keeping. With or without company help. Yes if he is employed, part time study is feasible. Arindam did his MTech working full time. If studies are too expensive and your pop ain't rich do cheap correspondence courses. Why pay tons unless you get scholarships or work your way! Anyway internet should make universities and the horrid professors obsolete. Best is mutual self-help, study circles, coaching, employer originated training, apprenticeship, etc. One major effort must be to attack those putting out fake news. > > You first get _employed_, and only then study the material that your > employer (businesses and/or government) provides. There's no other way > around this that does not amount to fraudulent money schemes. Who wants to employ useless roaches like you, Roachie? University degree gives a stamp vital for recruitment. Better than that is for the employer to catch them young and fund them for higher education with a bond, while getting work out if them. Point is that certification from companies have less worth than uni degrees. Which is why the uni market remains hot. --

Well if this is a Linux group may I ask about how to install it on windows 11 and how to use it to access newsgroups using vn and nn as was done in the 90s A FAQ could help. --

If you have Windows 11, you can install "Windows Subsystem for Linux", which lets you easily run Linux on Windows in a virtual machine. Give it a google. And the nn(1) newsreader is in Ubuntu, so that's the distribution you'll probably want to install. -- -v

Trump _has_ fucked up the market here, hasn't he. Now even I, an essentially optimistic guy, believe that. I'm sensing it because XRP had already found its stable value around $2.50 after climbing down from above $3. It would only linger there, or move up depending on more or less normal events. But that's not been happening in the past 2 weeks. It is gradually going down, which is very strange for a crypto. Ordinary stocks sure, any damn thing happens to them in good and bad times, but cryptos in normal times are either staying where they belong or gradually moving up in value. For XRP it's not that bad though, yet. Microsoft stock is a convenient way to see how things are generally for stocks. Wasn't it $450 just a couple of months back? Even more sometimes. I think I remember seeing $480 once. It is $374 now. Microsoft is not supposed to behave that way. The only time in its history it fell like that was when Ukraine war began. So what Trump is doing to the Americans has had the same effect as Putin created for the Americans by starting the war with Ukraine. Well, that steady drop for Microsoft only lasted about 7 months (it took that long to become evident what Russia wants to do and what Russia doesn't want to do), then it was business as usual. A gradual, steady, rise like always. But there's no telling how long Trump's schemes will keep fucking up the market. No idea where the "support" level, so to speak, for Microsoft will be, the point at which it'll bounce back up. End of Trump's term? So no wonder nobody is buying much right now even with rare nice lows for just about any stock or crypto. That's when the strategy changes :) If not in cryptos, in stocks trading there are ways to make money even in these bad times :-) Haalaloolah baby!

Ten cents jump in XRP up, early this morning. Did any of you Bozos take advantage of it? Hehe :) A lot of people did, cause it kind of gradually went back down. People sold their XRPs with profits less than ten cents per coin in significant enough volumes to get the price back down again. Even 5 cents per coin makes a lot of money if you have a lot of XRP under your belt. I made just $172 using a portion of my XRP coins. So I know those who have many many XRP coins are making much much more than this in just a few hours. But I lost a couple of precious sleep hours over that lousy $172 and feel like crap today (the jump happened around 3 am). If I hit the sack it'll ruin my circadian rhythm so I have to just forge on, and today is a busy day, it is Tuesday, Senior Citizens day in the thrift store :) Need to get a monitor and a mouse, and a couple of keyboards. There's something in tomcats' urine that defies every measure made in electronics to protect them against it. Designers can get the bugs outside of them (with great effort), but they cannot do much against cat urine. It has a way to ooze into just about anything and around anything and reach the sensitive electronics boards. It takes a long time to dry, weeks, and when it dries at last, it become harder than fucking diamond it seems. Then its chemical effects begin on whatever it is they're sitting on! Amazing..

Microsoft is $360 today .. Hehe :-) The safest spot on the expanse of stock trading in the world has gone about 25% down in value in just a couple of weeks. And this is where XRP has increased its value today by 4%. That's what I'm talking about baby! Crypto is here for a reason.

I would not sell one coin of course. The worse it gets, the better haven crypto becomes for your money. So I expect crypto to receive attention when regular stocks all fail. But knock on wood too.
