i don't think these 'science guys' really understand..

the earth is not slowing down..

it is the black hole
that is sending waves (gravitional waves)
that makes the Earth ...wobble.

The wobbleing will eventually stop...

Look at the bees.

Look at your rubber duck in your bath tub...

stop splashing around.

Ummm ... the Earth IS slowing down. The interaction
with the moon has a lot to do with it. VERY long
term interaction with the sun will likely keep just
one side of the planet pointed that way - assuming
the sun doesn't vaporize us first.

Now spacetime ripples CAN induce micro-changes
as well ... but they're VERY weak, fortunately.

An odd effect of better instrumentation/analysis
is that negligible short-term effects seem to
take on new significance, create a buzz, make
a little press ... "SEE ! PAY us more !!!"
