The only thing strange was the missing shot-wound in Trump's ear a few 
days after the shot.

He said in an interview on the day of the assasination, that he was hit 
by a shot through his right ear.

A wound does not have to be a full on gunshot wound.  It grazed his ear and made
a small cut as it passed.
