No, you just don't understand them.

In general in life it's not true that what you don't understand is
necessarily wrong. It's also possible, in life in general, to come
across people who understand something you do not. As an
adult, you ought to be able to deal with that sort of thing.

You don't have to "do" physics, you know. There are very likely
other things you can be genuinely good at.

Wow! I thought Starmaker was the quintessential American. Now, can anyone do FUBAR's father from WWII? SNAFU

Starmaker is the quintessential universal jerk model that
Dunning-Kruger addresses. Regardless of his actual origins
he's not a symbol of any particular nationality. Compare
Arindam Banerjee the Hindu transplant claiming to be
Australian and our nymshifter Russian propagandist.

Okay lamb chops, without googling, what does the Acronym SNAFU stand for?

The link works fine... the answers to your question is also there...

"A number of military slang terms are acronyms. Rick Atkinson ascribes the origin of SNAFU (Situation Normal, All Fucked Up), FUBAR (Fucked Up Beyond Any Repair or "All Recognition"), and a bevy of other terms to cynical GIs ridiculing the United States Army's penchant for acronyms."
