"In view of the situation you may think it desirable to have more

permanent contact maintained between the Administration and the group

of physicists working on chain reactions in America. One possible way

of achieving this might be for you to entrust with this task a person

who has your confidence and who could perhaps serve in an inofficial

capacity. His task might comprise the following:

      a) to approach Government Departments, keep them informed of the

further development, and put forward recommendations for Government action,

giving particular attention to the problem of securing a supply of uran-

ium ore for the United States;" --Albert Einstein

Albert Einstein told the FBI that at the present time SZILARD is connected in some manner with Columbia University
in New York City, where he is working on uranium experiments for military purposes. He stated that this work is on a
private scale but that it is financed by the University. Albert Einstein told the FBI that SZILARD is working with an
Italian by the name of FERMI, who is a very trustworthy man.
Professor EINSTEIN said that he sees SZILARD quite frequently as SZILARD visits him to 'inform him as to his work on the uranium experiment.'

Albert Einstein wrote a letter to his son...September 2, 1945

"My scientific work has only 'a very indirect connection' with the atomic bomb."

In other words, Szilard was Albert Einstein't ...buffer.

In other words, Albert Einstein was the shadow chief executive and the
guiding force of The Manhattan Project.

Albert Einstein concealed his managerial role to avoid getting blood
on his hands

Albert Einstein 'used' Leo Szilard as a buffer and liaison to conceal
his connection to the Manhattan Project.

Then Albert Einstein went on to the Military to work on their 'High
Explosive Department' sticking with
the same M.O. (motive of operation) using liaisons...and working from
home as a consultant to everyone.
