A lame consolation prize was awarded to him, in 1921, for what he stole from Lenard´s research (which got the Nobel for what he REALLY proved). But, still, the Committee opened the door for a FUTURE 2nd. prize IF and ONLY IF any experimental proof of relativity was achieved while he was alive. Nothing proven in the next 34 years, until 1955. Yet more, NOTHING was awarded regarding RELATIVITY until today. It's the most conclusive proof that NO SERIOUS SCIENTISTS considered relativity as having ANY PHYSICAL PROOF nor ANY PHYSICAL VALUE. But relativists go around for a century, claiming the truthfulness, beauty and extraordinary value of relativity in the "building of physics", even when they change the "tune" from time to time to correct its intrinsic, disparate conceptions of time, lengths and gravity with increasingly CRAZY patches (like DM, DE, antigravity from DE, BH, WH, GW, etc.). To many, and to Einstein himself, this felt like a slap in the face. Hadn't Eddington proved the theory? Yes, but the trouble was Eddington's observations had not been perfect and he had discarded data he considered poor from his final analysis. .... Could it have been that the committee was leaving the door open for a second Nobel prize in the future, once relativity had been more rigorously tested? We will never know. As Einstein's fame spread, so he alienated himself from the physics community by refusing to accept quantum theory. A Nobel prize for relativity was never awarded. ************************************************************************ NOTE: Not only a Nobel prize for relativity was rejected to be awarded to Einstein (they had the next 34 years to do that, before his death in 1955), but NO PHYSICIST in the next 100 years won one Nobel for Relativity.

Even when Einstein fled to US and lived there for the next 23 years, 10 years after WWII ended and US controlled Europe? Don't fool yourself. Relativity doesn't deserve even a Pulitzer. It poses NO VALUE for science. To pseudo-science, metaphysics, philosophy, etc., maybe. He should have been awarded with a Nobel in Literature, for his work on FICTION novels.
