I quite liked Déja News, but it took a big step downhill when it became 
Google Groups, and two or three compulsory downgrades later I had had 
enough, and have used a proper newreader since.

Google Reader was also useful, but they discontinued it pretty much 
without warning. Since then I've used NewsBlur, which I like less, 
though I don't remember why.
