It is very important, that what we see in the night sky is not real.

We see a picture, which is layered in time and sent to us from the past.


The stars further away sent their picture from their state a long time 
earlier than closer stars.

So: the picture we see is internally inconsistent and does not represent 
any reality.

Now, since everything moves in the universe, we see stars at positions, 
where they aren't today.

But more distant stars had more time to move somewhere else than closer 
ones. Therefore we see things together, which do not have the sam e 
spatial correlation today.

IOW: the picture we see in the night sky is not real.

We could eventually correct the picture. But that is extremely 
difficult, because we would need to know, to were the stars further away 
had moved. But movement of remote stars is very difficult to measure.
