Germany
In Germany, an academic thesis is called Abschlussarbeit or, more 
specifically, the basic name of the degree complemented by -arbeit (rough 
translation: -work; e.g., Diplomarbeit, Masterarbeit, Doktorarbeit). For 
bachelor's and master's degrees, the name can alternatively be complemented 
by -thesis instead (e.g., Bachelorthesis).
