I'm going to try again with a version of the change that only applies the new criterion to PCI controllers. That should definitely fix your issue but since it seems to me like your issue "should not have been possible" I think we'll need a fair bit of burn-in. Is there anything particular about the actual target device I could test on a platform with a PCI IDE controller? -- Posted automagically by a mail2news gateway at muc.de e.V. It is a SanDisk CF card, and the whole wdc did not attach, which is really strange. The only other CF adapters I know of all are at USB, so that could be hard to reproduce elsewhere. I'll add debug output and look closer as soon as the machine is idle again. Martin -- Posted automagically by a mail2news gateway at muc.de e.V. I committed an alternate version of the code that's just "hands off non-PCI controllers" - I expect it'll make things better for you. I had a standalone CF to parallel IDE adapter around _somewhere_ at one point but I'm entirely unsure where it is now... Thor -- Posted automagically by a mail2news gateway at muc.de e.V.
