You can't make USB-C power delivery with just two wires (unless you stick
to very low power delivery). The sides have at least to negotiate voltage
for reasonable power to flow (max current is, ISTR. 3A, which'd make 15W
at 5V: I shudder at the thought of 3A going through those pins).

But I agree: there should be a very clear way of communicating that on
the package.

My solution is a brick-and-mortar store where the folks know what they
are doing. A luxury, but my city has that :-)
