Downdetector uses Cloudflare, so HTTPS://Downdetector.com was stuck on repeatedly reloading a counterproductive human-verification webpage. After it took much longer than normal to load the next page, HTTPS://Downdetector.com/status/cloudflare and HTTPS://Downdetector.Ie/status/cloudflare showed very different big errors numbers two minutes apart.
