Das ist wohl nur mit Mikrocontroller vernünftig lösbar.
Ich hab' das bei meinem Projekt auch so gemacht. Nur nicht mit Relais, 
sondern mit den PGA-ICs von TI. Die haben 256 Steps mit je 0,5dB.
