Augenbewegungen sind schneller als Mechanik mit Maus oder tastatur
Hinzu kommt, das bei Mausaktivitäten interrupt Routinen aktiv
sind, während dessen Speicherinhalte im Kurzzeitgedächtnis
reduziert werden.

Es ist vergleichbar, ob Du ein Buch oder Tabelle neben
dem Bildschirm liegt, oder es erst noch im Regal gesucht werden muss.

crtl F1 bis F4 kann in Linux KDE zwischen 4 Desktops
  (virtuelle Tischflächen) geschaltet werden,
die anderen gehen mit Mausaktivitäten.

Kopf drehen geht weitgehend unbewusst,
wohingegen umschalten ein eigenes bewusstes Miniprogramm ist.

Das trifft insbesondere bei copy und paste zu
weil gleiche Geräte anderweitig verwendet werden.

Zur Seite schauen ist natürlicher.
