It's no doubt a result of my advanced age, but I find myself unable to
attach a name to the nameless individual you refer to.  I don't think
nameless individual is the engineer who came up with the timeless
State of the Art term, "lump descriptor", but I could be mistaken. I'm
otherwise at a loss.

They were giants in them days, weren't they?
