Hello,,,our service provider which services the uprade on our M9000 boxes has made an upgrade,in may 2011. Then we registred massive performance problems on our database (sybase),at a time we have massive write io to the san boxes (6540) which was not a problem before.,So dumping of database need three times than before and special end of day procedures,are very slow, too.,,After three weeks were living with this poor performance we switched back to the old still,existend prepatch solaris. The performace problems than are gone.,,After than we got an fix from Oracle we're tested the dump performance on an different,domain of the M9000 and the dump performance problem was gone.,So now we have to installed the fix on the patched boot environment on the production,system and the simple "only made an dump" problems are gone, too.,But in our End of Day at the time the dump is running we get back the old problems with,dumping and the other performance problems. ,,I've compared now the sar logs from prepatch status in April to the ones from end of June,with the patches and the fix. I can see for relevant disk devices the disks are much more,busy (as I remember old values of 65% grown up to 80% and more),,Other changes of hw or zfs are not really made. Because of that we can reproduce it by,changing the boot environment and that the performance problem exists only after the,patches has to been installed I mean this could come only from the upgrade.,The poor performance problems looks like only been available if the io system is in the,near of the limit.,,Did anybody has registered such an problem, too?
