Using a Mac as such quickly cured me of whatever regard I had for Apple.
There are cheaper and better ways of having a Unix laptop or desktop.
Since the majority of appeals to authority here seem to be focused on
Silicon Valley, then there's a strong chance that the fruity logo is just
a status symbol. This has been a passing fad in other industries.
