grepped all the shell scripts to be sure the was no call to chflags or
SetFile.

There is no Spotlight comment set, but if I do an ls -lOd@ I get:

com.apple.FinderInfo      32 

I did

xattr -d com.apple.FinderInfo /Volumes/Porphyrion 

And the resource is gone now and the drive immediately appeared in the
sidebar. I didn't even close a window, it was just there. And on the
clients that mounted the drive as well.
