That works *after* you are already in the mode. But if I click and hold on
the green dot it "starts" the mode and lets me pick which side to drag to.
Fine. But how do I get out of it at that point? Dragging to the top does not
work. Escape does not work.

When you do pick a side you can then click the desktop and not a window to
get out of it, but that is cumbersome.

Even worse: one you do pick a second program, then later go out of that
mode, the program you do not click the green button for is on another Space.
This means, for many users, it will be "lost". You can go to Mission Control
and take programs out of full screen (including split screen). This is new
from older versions and a welcome improvement.
