When I was at school I had a high school maths teacher who wrote on the blackboard "X + X = 3X" as part of a lesson, and then spent the rest of the hour trying to work out where he went wrong. :-\ That was near the beginning of the year, so I simply ignored the fool for the rest of the year. Then there was the university Computer Science lecturer who claimed no personal computer could do mutlitasking ... despite the Amiga having already been released and being sold in the Campus Computer Store. There was also another university Computer Science lecturer the following year who simply read the pages of the text book, that he wrote.
