Not quite. There are no coal fired plants operating in California, the 
last shut down in 2016.  Not all imported electicity is sourced from 
coal fired plants, just 6%.

The 6% of coal generated power consumed in California is imported from 
Utah, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico, and used in Southern California, 
primarily the L.A.Basin via grid path 46 from the Southwest to Southern 
California.

The other imported electricity is Hydro-electric from Oregon, 
Washington, and British Columbia, along with hydro from Hoover and Glen 
Canyon Dams. Hoover & Glen Canyon power is also used in Southern 
California, and is delivered on the same grid path 46 as the coal power.

The new campus has no, 0% dependance on coal fired electricity, just 
natural gas (primary), grid hydro, grid solar, grid wind, & local 
on-site solar.
