it doesn't take up much space and you can't delete it anyway (at least
not without a lot of effort). 

to stop auto-launch, all you need to do is launch either photos or
image capture and then disable auto-launch for each camera and card you
have. 

you have to do it for each one as they're all seen as unique separate
devices because users might want a different action to occur with an
iphone camera versus an slr.
