This is The Usenet: Basic Usenet News and Facts

These link is posted with intention to facilitate for people that wants
the real Usenet, sometimes called News experience and avoid the Google
web interface.

Some basic primers:

<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usenet_newsgroup>

Here you can find some software:

<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Usenet_newsreaders>

I would recommend the free Thunderbird client for inexperienced users:

<https://support.mozilla.org/t5/Thunderbird/ct-p/Thunderbird>

Hook yourself up! Here are some free and premium NNTP/Usenet servers:

<http://www.freeusenetnews.com/>

<https://usenetreviewz.com/free-usenet/usenet-access/>

This free server seem to function consistently:

<http://news.aioe.org/>

Note that free servers are paid by someone and that you might not know
their reasons for doing that.

Remember to be civil! The basic Netiquette for the Usenet is rather
simple:

Post as your parents, children, spouse, minister or employer can read
it without you being embarrassed or sued…

Read the charters if in doubt what’s apropriate for a certain group:

<http://www.harley.com/usenet/usenet-tutorial/newsgroup-charters.html>

There are, of course more elaborate opinions on the subject but beyond
law and charters for different groups those are subject for debate. You
can find some of them here though:

<https://duckduckgo.com/?q=usenet+netiquette&ia=web>

Feel free to repost or bump this to any text group under any name but
mine as long as it’s not altered…

I don't think that Usenet maners and behavior is off topic. Neither that
some folks in these groups that I read and sometimes post to couldn't
use some introductory links and hints on the subject.

You won't see the above of course...

It definitely seems to be off-topic in groups such as
comp.sys.mac.system.

Why don't you copy that text to some site such as anotepad.com, and then
just give the link to those folks?

"dealthless" prose?

Is this yet another example of the seemingly iron law that those who
criticise others for spelling and grammar are as likely as not to make
themselves look like hypocrites?

Just how many times a month do you plan on repeatedly spamming this
tripe to rec.photo.digital, alt.photography, comp.sys.mac.system,
comp.sys.mac.apps, and comp.sys.mac.comm?

Do you really think anyone actually appreciates you spamming the same
thing over, and over, and over, and over, and over again to multiple
news groups?

There is no need to do what you are doing, and you are only introducing
unneeded noise to an otherwise productive group by spamming it
repeatedly.

Or are you simply trolling to try to get a rise out of someone?

Trying to seem important, David? I don't know why you bothered to
post this, you only selectively follow the suggestions/advice offered
when you see a potential gain in doing so. Stalking, for example, is
never okay. Accusing people of having things they do not (child porn,
malware, etc), is never okay. Taking a copy of another persons things
and uploading them elsewhere, without their permission isn't okay
either, yet, you do that often. Even when the individual contacts the
site hosting it and the site admin agrees you didn't have permission
and deletes it, you proceed to upload the same thing to yet another
site and taunt the actual owner that you've done so.

You do these things with no regard for the other individual. And you
get royally pissed off and make hollow threats towards anyone who
doesn't just take your shit lying down, but, instead, gives you a
dose of your own medicine.
