I recently purchased a copy of the Teach Yourself Visually book Mac OS X Lion, written by Paul McFedries. I was somewhat taken aback that of the some 300 pages in the book only a single page was devoted to Mission Control, and that did not include any explanation of how to create and manage multiple desktops. Given that Mission Control is one of the important new features, one that replaces former features such as Spaces, I find myself unable to recommend this book. I would be interested in knowing what books regarding Mac OS X Lion others have found helpful. -- James Leo Ryan - Austin, Texas

I've not looked at Lion versions yet, but I've always kept a copy of David Pogue's comprehensive Missing Manual for every version of OSX I own. They cover nearly everything, barring the more under the hood Unix stuff. Invaluable to have on hand for stuff I do less commonly. Regards, Jamie Kahn Genet P.S. Sure you posted to enough groups? :-D I bet that set off many people's killfiles, heh. -- If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate.

And for reference, I just happened to be looking at the O'Reilly web site, and David Pogue's Missing Manual for Lion is due to be published in October. -- David Empson dempson@actrix.gen.nz
