You must mean 7/30 and 7/31, right (that's what is shown in the screen
shot). 

What makes you think it didn't restore the July 31 backup you have
selected in the screen shot? 

Also, I'm curious why the selected backup in the screen shot is named
"Lion on JPsBigImac", when this is a MacBook.
