Well, if you simply saved tarballs to the tape and you have a suitable
SCSI QIC tape unit along with a SCSI adapter, the answer is yes.
Tapes are ANSI.
I dumped and recreated Domain tapes with a Linux based PC and an IBM
6150 tape unit or an Archive SCSI tape unit coming from an Apollo.
I guess you live in the States, so I can't help you more :(
