Using Jeffrey's vncserver (V0.13) and RISC OS 5.23 (02-Jun-15) on the
remote machine and Avalanche (V0.22) on RISC OS 5.23 (20-Dec-15) on
the client I can open a window to the remote machine but reliability
is an issue - this may be more to do with Avalanche - it is quite an
old program. When it crashes you have to restart the vncserver which
is not clever when you don't have a monitor connected to the remote
m/c.

If I can get my head round Martin's suggestion that might be a more
reliable suggestion.
