Earlier, TI's 'matrix management' was the exemplar of how to structure a company. TI is still around but has had its fiascos. The PC product line was sold to Acer. The project should not be confused with the more successful TI-15 Explorer aimed at grades 3-6.

The project should not > be confused with the more successful TI-15 Explorer aimed at grades 3-6. They've THOUGHT they had 'AI' more than once. Minsky was sure it'd be easy during the 60s. Then, as you said, the 80s came and went but no 'AI' worth a damn. The current super-power approach seems to get close, indeed it acts almost sentient sometimes. 100X the power as they plan and it really ought to be there and more. Not quite "like us" though, more 'alien'.

There were a few 'AI' langs that were supposed to solve all yer problems. I remember Turbo Prolog. Hmm, can probably download that for free these days ... Ah, just did, TP2. The zipped pgm is only 580kb. The zipped MANUAL is like 12.5mb :-) Dunno if DOSBox will work ... might have to use Wine. Still looking for a Linux Modula-3 compiler that actually WORKS ..... get nothing but weird errors trying to use that Canadian version ....... Did find Turbo Modula-2, for Z80-CP/M :-)

They did take some getting used to. Using % in Vim to bounce between
matching pairs of {} or () is handy.
