It appears there are archive sites for old ROM code, donated by people who still care. And various hacks exist to make old rom emulators using new(er) Eproms, EAROMS and even probably SD cards -- "I guess a rattlesnake ain't risponsible fer bein' a rattlesnake, but ah puts mah heel on um jess the same if'n I catches him around mah chillun".
