Indeed there was. I used a Sun 386i workstation at work for a
few years. IIRC cost was about $13k, the CPU ran around 16MHz or
so, it had a few MB or RAM, and the in-tower HDD was less than
50MB, but a 91MB external disk could be bolted to the top of the
tower. The tower case was pretty close to white and rather
stylishly ornamented with narrow vertical "industrial design"
stripes. The OS was a side-branch version of SunOS approximately
version 4.

The keyboard that came with the Sun 386i was the most wonderful
keyboard I think I have ever used. It was a joy to press the
smooth keys while typing. As with many/most X-oriented keyboards
of the day, the keyboard had a little speaker inside, and 'xset'
could adjust the loudness of the electronic key clicks.

Either the in-tower HDD or the bolt-on expansion 91MB HDD was
quite vulnerable to mechanical shock. One day, while I was
working away with the 386i sitting on the floor between my
monitor table and cubicle wall, an office mover with estimated IQ
around room temperature shoved the blade of a handtruck under the
bottom of the cubicle wall. The handtruck blade struck the
bottom edge of the workstation case at pretty high speed.
Something in the machine immediately started making a loud
moaning sound, so I shut down the machine as quickly as the OS
would do a graceful shutdown. Later, after I had finished a
"conversation" with the office mover, the machine powered up
fine. However, one of the HDDs died about a week later.
