yes.

yes.

and utilities,

No.
Lots of Unix stuff was ported to Linux where commercial licenses were
absent or permitted it.

  userland?

these days mostly. Traditional Unix is a specialist area these days.

X windows was ported from Unix to Linux early on, and its true to say
that Unix development outside of BSD/MAC OS/X has pretty much stopped.
Linux is something that behaves like Unix, but is free of licensing
issues and infinitely more popular and useful. Really very few people
are now developing Unix - way less than Linux.

Apple picked freeBSD unix for commercial reasons.

Really there are four camps here:
1/. Traditional SysV Unix - and that's really just Oracle Solaris and
IBM AIX these days.
2/. FreeBSD and friends including MAC OS/X. These derive from Berkeley
Unix way back when which WAS a clone of Unix. They cannot call
themselves Unix tho.
3/. Linux, written from the ground up to *behave* like linux but as a
kernel lacking any Unix code whatsoever.
3/. Android, the ugly bastard child of Linux.
>

Programs that are open source can be ported to any of these platforms:
Closed source of course can be but in general AIX and Solaris run IBM
and SUN proprietary applications in big iron scenarios.

So e,g. X windows runs on all platforms as the basic GUI. Things like
CUPS are likely to run on all as well.
