It is trivial to setup nowdays in openSUSE, so I use it. First on my new 
laptop, then at an old desktop computer at a beach place. Same reason 
for both: protection in case they are stolen.

SSD being faster compensates for a bit of speed loss on encrypted 
system. I don't really notice unless writing very big files.
