At that point it is dead, dead, dead Jed.  I can't imagine...  It's sad 
the US meat processing industry has deteriorated to the point where 
restaurants won't serve a hamburger unless it's on the verge of 
combustion.

But without all that cheap labor we couldn't afford to eat.  otoh, I've 
read 'The Jungle' so maybe nothing has changed except the ethnicity of the 
cheap labor.

I often wonder if I were around in 1900 rather than 2000 if I would have 
been attracted to the socialists. They seemed more serious back then. 
Maybe a Jack London style socialism...
