Nearly all the desktops I have seen aside from a few special distributions
to show off the DE usually KDE, duplicate the Windows layout and some go
further acting like XP or whichever Windows version is most popular.
It is a pain to encounter these in distros which are useful like
GPartEd live or other single purpose distributions. The duplication of
Windows appearance and operations are ok for Windows users coming
over to a better OS but are a pain for many other users.
If you recall my experience was on AmigaOS and KDE helps me
duplilcate all but the crashes from the lack of memory management.
