Most Users do that I believe. In my Mandriva days I would sometimes have to go out on the net and search for particular libraries but our packager does pretty well. You might have to go to various hardware makers for specific drivers and use "alien" for conversion to your packaging format. I find tools like Snap and Flatpack extraneous to my needs. I only used Windows XP* for a brief interval and added a variety of tools to it from the makers of those tools Firefox and Thunderbird mainly and Irfanview a specific general graphic image viewing program to read manga which name I just recalled. I have used Gwenview on Linux and always add VLC for video because when I got into watching anime in .mkv files it was the only reliable tool. What happened was I learned the name of a tool then in those days 20 years back I just googled to find the download site then installed the program and began using it. bliss- Dell Precision 7730- PCLOS 2025.10 Linux 6.12.57-pclos1- KDE Plasma 6.5.2
