Unlikely to help. You'd need an enormous amount of helium to dilute the hydrogen below its ignition density in the atmosphere (hydrogen gas is very highly flammable). So much so that you may as well go Goodyear blimp and be all helium. And if you end up with a puncture wound that dissipates enough of the helium before an ignition source lights up the hydrogen cell, you end up with a major fire once again.
