You see, Onion Knight both is and is not me depending on what is needed in
the argument.  Facts do not matter to Peter (or Carroll or cc).

For the record: I do not use socks and Onion Knight is not me.  I have a
*suspicion* of who he is - someone who used to post to CSMA who proved
Carroll wrong and Carroll responded by making some very public threats
against this person... but that includes a lot of people and does not narrow
it down much.  I do not think Carroll has any clue who he is... and even if
he thinks he does, like me he has no proof. And that is the way it should
be... Onion Knight is wise to not let Steve know the name he used to go
under.
