Yes, because it's a solution looking for a problem.

But does it do it if you don't prepare it the night before?

And would the internet of things solve that anyway?

I wouldn't mind, but I'm sceptical about whether the technology really 
exists for things like the Internet fridge. It's easy to say that it 
will order stuff in when supplies are getting low, but how's it actually 
going to work? It better not expect me to tell it every time I put milk 
in my coffee (and exactly how much), 'cos that's just not going to happen.
