Bummer. > This one was about 5MP, decent enough, and smaller than the one digital camera I bought new (which is fine, but it would be nice to have the smaller size). One problem is that I have no idea why it was tossed. So I have to get the card, and then I have to get a battery, and I'm not likely to find either in a pile of garbage. So it sits there, because investing in it is only useful if the camera works. But old digital cameras can be good. I have a 10X or 12X zoom Canon I got last year for twenty dollars. More than enough pixels for display on computers, which is all I've ever done with digital cameras. But it's nice to have that extra zoom. It can even take added lenses, though those are likely expensive. I got another early Canon a few months ago for 3.00, nothing special in the specs, but it's one of those "prosumer" cameras, so it's built a lot better and also can have external lenses added on (this isn't a DSLR, just a better point and shoot). But it can even be controlled by a remote, which of course was missing when I got it. I suppose I am putting together a collection of old digital cameras, but some of them have potential because they are still decent but cost a pretty penny when new, but now are cheap. Michael
