That is what I did in my old nest before I moved last summer. It was 
like once a year! At least my cable's Internet service got more stable 
compared to its early days like in 2001 (before DOCSIS compliant in my 
city with Adelphia's PowerLink!). At the new place, no more copper 
landlines for phone services. Very slow mobile (darn rural area) and cable.

Ha. I got a brand new USR Sportster external 56K modem at work a few 
years ago that no one wanted. I never tried calling out since my old USR 
Sportster 33.6k modem still worked and could never go faster than 3 
kB/sec due to crappy phone system).
