After a bit of unnecessary frustration I figured out that I could type ruby, test out a little snippet and type Ctrl-D to get the results and my terminal prompt back. I hope I never forget what it's like to be new so I can be nicer to newbies that what I usually experience. -- Deb in WA, USA
