In practice, I haven't had much need for them, other than
double-clicking applications which therefore don't interact with
Cgywin at all, or just typing them at the Cygwin shell.  But on the
command line,

   ... $(cygpath -w /some/cygwin/path) ...

produces something along the lines of

   ... C:\some\cygwin\path ...
