I've been able to work out "all this" pretty much from
http://download.oracle.com/javaee/6/tutorial/doc/bnadp.html
the MyFaces docs and the articles in IBM DeveloperWorks.

I don't know of any technology, Javas, C#, SQL or what-have-you, that is fully 
documented in a perfect way for every practitioner in a single source.

JSF is simply a wonderful framework.
