It is an essential part of American culture that we do not recognize a 
monarchy.  It speaks to how much I am not from the U.K.  Your analogy is 
utterly flawed, as well as misspelled.  "I am not from the U.K., nor do I 
evince any characteristic that is quintessentially British, such as 
recognizing a monarch as having authority over me.  On the contrary, I am so 
not from the U.K., that by way of demonstrating that fact let me point out 
that I do not even recognize any monarch, let alone Queen Elizabeth II, as 
having dominion over me.  That's how utterly and trenchantly wrong you are."
