I speak from pragmatism and engineering principles, not religious fervor. Gene calls me "disingenuous", yet that applies better to him, who argues so vehemently against coding standards. What better way for him to get his knife twist in that to call me names in a different thread? It's a reality of life that Java, with all its faults, has coding standards, with all their faults. Every Java shop uses a variation of those standards as their in-house standards, assuming they have any. The entire community uses these standards. Reminding people of that is not religious proselytizing but simple good sense. Trolling this group by calling me names for suggesting that doesn't invalidate the point. -- Lew
