Hi,

I'm the developer of Substance LAF and i'd like to address some of the
points mentioned here.

1. The size issue is addressed in the project FAQ question 5 [1].
2. I guess that if your UI features 1024*768 single button, then
Substance is not for you :) On the other hand, if you have standard
70*20 buttons, i don't see any performance issues. And yes, it's not
for low-end machines, but i suggest that you try it on your specific
app to see the CPU usage and the responsiveness of the GUI. The big
(and vertical) buttons are there for testing the correct rendering
(some third-party LAFs perform very poorly on large and vertical
buttons).
3. JNLP is not my core specialty. Thanks for pointing this out.
