To drive that home here is an example (from ciforth).

Where x1 and x2 probably represent a string.

Now assuming there is no error this is equivalent to
: EVALUATE SAVE SET-SRC INTERPRET RESTORE ;
This is exaxtly what EVALUATE is supposed to do:
SAVE the current input stream.
set the interpretation source to (addr len)
interpret till exhaused
RESTORE the current input stream.
The SAVE and RESTORE are part of the functionality of EVALUATE
nothing to do with THROW, per se.
The THROW governs *when* the current input source is restored,
but it has to be anyway.
RESTORE puts 3 items on the return stack (in ciforth) but you
can't write this on the expense bill of CATCH/THROW.
