If you say "block"s - you know what the limitation is about.
Shadow-blocks are usually better as you work around some space problems...
I think one idea is (thumb translation of the idea...): "One word, one line" - not "One word, one block".

For sure, documentation might get out of sync - but that's not the problem of blocks only...
